Season's End

For the last three months or so I've been living in Morzine, mtb mecca of the french alps. The season's nearly over now, with all the lifts on the Avoriaz side of things closed until winter, and just the lifts serving Pleney and Les Gets still running.

After a busy summer at FLOWMTB its time to do some riding of our own, what with no guests to show about the place. I've barely spent any time in Les Gets all season, favouring the more varied terrain above the Super Morzine & Zore lifts. Now there's no choice but to ride in Les Gets we've been having a great time messing around on singletracks under the Chavannes chair and sessioning Les Gets 2 on Mont Chery. The weather's held off too, just about! Today we got over to the Kona bike park on Mont Chery where the sun came out and the wind dropped. After a cold journey up on the slowest chair on earth, it was pleasantly warm. The infamous hut drop can now be ticked off the "to do" list :D, and we also had some fun down on the jumps at the bottom of the bike park.

Tomorrow its off to Roches de Naye in Switzerland for a 45min train ride up followed by an equally lengthy descent.. haven't been before but heard much about it, can't wait!
